Summer pisco sour

pink pisco sour

This drink is made for sultry summer afternoons and midweek day dreams.

It has the tart perfection of a classic pisco sour but the addition of a cup of blueberries gives this drink a lovely pop of summer flavor and a delightful pink color!

Throw the following ingredients into your blender:

1 cup pisco (we like Porton)

1 cup meyers lemon juice (or the juice of one lime and the rest lemon juice for a full cup)

1/2 cup sugar

1 egg white

1 cup frozen blueberries (you can use fresh but we wanted to make some room in our freezer…for more blueberries…)

Blend everything together until the sugar is dissolved. Pour over ice, add a drop or two of bitters on top and enjoy a tart taste of summer!

Strawberry Piscorita

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I love a good margarita as much as the next person, but I also love a good pisco sour. So sometimes I try and make both those drinks happen in some way at the same time and because its strawberry season this drink was created:strawberry piscorita

Here’s what you need:

8 oz strawberries with lavender sugar (here’s what I mean)

6 oz fresh lime juice

6 oz Pisco (we like to use Portón)

4 oz Cointreau

A couple cubes of ice (and also some crushed ice to pour the drink over)

Rim glasses with simple syrup and lavender sugar and set aside. In blender combine all ingredients and a blend with a couple cubes of ice. Pour over crushed ice and enjoy!!

This drink is not too sweet and not too sour, and just look at that pretty color! Here’s how to make it:

2 peaches, sliced

2 oz pisco

1 oz fresh lemon juice

1 1/4 oz fresh lime juice

1 oz simple syrup

1 oz orange juice

Blend all ingredients in blender and pout over ice. Rim glass with sugar of your choice (we used ginger sugar).

Enjoy!!
